Our approach blends hands-on care with movement-based rehab and neuromuscular re-education. Each plan is tailored to your sport, your injury, and your performance goals—with clear progressions from rehab to return-to-training.
We commonly treat a variety of sport related injuries, from weekend warrior accidents to high level athletic injuries including:

WHaT Your Rehab May Include
Your plan is chosen based on your exam findings, sport, and goals. Depending on what you need, rehab may include:

Focused movement + joint assessment to identify the driver(s) of pain or limitation

Sport-specific corrective exercise and progressive strengthening
-
Mobility work and soft-tissue care to reduce restriction and improve mechanics
-
Return-to-running / return-to-lifting / return-to-sport progressions
-
Dry needling when appropriate to reduce muscular tension and improve tolerance
-
Laser therapy when appropriate to support tissue recovery and pain reduction
-
Taping/support strategies for training and return-to-activity
-
Advanced coordination/stability work when needed (including DNS/reflex-based strategies)

The goal is a plan that reduces pain now and rebuilds capacity so you can train with confidence.

What to Expect
Sports rehab at Back2Brain is designed to be clear, progressive, and goal-driven.
Each visit follows a consistent flow: assess → treat → train → plan.​

We accept most major health insurance providers in the state of Missouri and have cash-based rates as well.
Initial Visit (30–40 minutes)
We’ll identify what’s driving your pain or limitation and build a plan around your sport and goals. Expect us to:

Review injury history, training demands, and performance goals
-
Assess movement, strength, mobility, and joint function (and screen as needed)
-
Identify the key limiting factor(s): mobility, control, strength, load tolerance, or technique
-
Begin care as indicated (may include hands-on treatment + corrective exercise)
-
Leave with clear next steps and an at-home plan
Follow-Up Visits (10–15 minutes)
Each visit builds on the plan and progresses training capacity. Visits may include:

Re-checking key metrics and symptom response
-
Hands-on care as needed (mobility/soft-tissue/joint work)
-
Progressed strengthening and sport-specific drills
-
Updates to training guidance and home plan
When appropriate, sessions may include dry needling and/or laser therapy to support comfort and recovery.​
